Adrienne Pierce and The Secret Handshake Out Today! I'm very excited and proud about Adrienne Pierce's new album "Oh Deer". It is officially released on itunes today and in stores in Canada. I cowrote a number of songs and coproduced much of the album with Adrienne. Here is a link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/oh-deer/id381439903 Aug. 17th is also the day that the new Secret Handshake record "Night and Day" is released. This is a great motown inspired record that Noah Shain produced. I cowrote "Here's to You" and played overdub guitar on most tracks. The band that tracked Luis's new jams live includes Chris Cano and Chris Joyner as well as other badasses. http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/night-day-deluxe-edition/id382919447

DEAD PEASANTS TOUR
God, this tour has been such a blast! I couldn't write everything that I have been
experiencing and seeing as it has been such a whirlwind of sites, experiences and rock and
roll music. The Dead Peasants and I have grown very close. I love the whole band and their
crew. Total bonding going on! They are so inspiring to watch every night. The level of musicianship
is truly mindblowing. The pedal steel player Marty also shares his  talents with with Bruce Springsteen and really
shines as does drummer/vocalist Eric Skodis. And man! Chris's songs and guitar playing kill
me ever night. So good!! Here are a couple recollections from the first few dates.

108 to 55 Degrees

Posted on July 28, 2010 with 0 comments
Today was another full driving day. The rest of Utah was more beautiful than I imagined. It is like a Star Trek episode full of canyons, rock formations and the widest sky I can remember. Listened to lots of Springsteen and Dan Savage podcasts. The temperatures in the last two days have ranged from 108 to 55.
Colorado is awesome. So dramatic! The trees and lakes remind me of BC and we drove through multiple storms complete with lightning.
Rolling towards Omaha tomorrow and then the shows start!

Utah: Life Elevated

Posted on July 27, 2010 with 0 comments
The mountains are gorgeous. Red clay everywhere. This is the fourth state we have passed through today. Good solid first day.
Laura Marling's new album is killer as are the podcasts I amassed for the trip. I am very proud of my Tetris car pack. Did a new trick with the guitars. Stoked! Meeting up with Chris Shiflett and the crew in Minneapolis.
Second Venti Chai of the day. It's 106 degrees at 6 PM. Starbucks is my respite.
